Trustees are officials, elected to serve parents, students, taxpayers and the school system. They are the link between communities and the school board, ensuring Hamilton public schools meet the diverse needs of students in their communities.

Student Trustee Role
What does a Student Trustee Do?
- Represents all students in Hamilton-Wentworth at every Board meeting
- Presents a report on issues that have been raised by fellow students
- Reports back to students
Student Senate
The Student Trustee also take part in the Student Senate. The Senate consists of the Student Council Presidents from each Secondary School in HWDSB. The meet once a month to discuss issues from the Board and concerns from the schools.
